Three heads are better than one...
Back in 2011, three brothers: Barry, Brian and Paddy O’Neill started toying with the idea of opening a brewery and forging their own path in the emerging Irish Craft Beer scene. They would spend the next 3 years quietly working away on this dream, figuring out how to bring it to life.

 

In 2014 from a small industrial unit in Kilcoole, a few minutes from their hometown of Bray, the three brothers launched O Brother Brewing. A simple, but clear ethos was the foundation of this new family business: 3 Brothers, 1 brewery, 0 shortcuts.

 

This statement would inform how O Brother would move forward over the next 11 years. From working with Irish artists on their eye-catching labels to developing an award-winning range of core and limited-edition beers and working with the best stockists in Ireland and beyond.

 

O Brother may have grown considerably from the early days, but the song remains the same.

 

In 2024, having outgrown their first brewery, O Brother moved to the idyllic Belmont Demesne, in Greystones, even closer to the O’Neill’s hometown. To meet the growing demands for their beer, the move made total sense, as well as being a once in a lifetime opportunity. Nestled away between the trees in Belmont, overlooked by Bray Head and the Little Sugarloaf, the brewery now finds itself in the perfect place to imagine new, exciting beers and continue to craft the brews that people have loved since 2014.
